The exhibition organizied by the Universsity Publishers Association will be held at the University Complutense in Madrid on 3-6 March 2009.

The patronage of the exhibition has been undertaken by: the Polish ambassador in Madrid, the rector of the University Complutense in Madrid, and the rector of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw. The organizers of the exhibition are: the above mentioned Association of the Publishers, Biblioteca Historica of the University in Madrid, the Chair of Slavonic Philologies in Madrid and the Embassy of Poland in Spain.

An additional attraction of the exhibition will be the Spanish library's presentation of the oldest polonica including old prints of the first Spanish printer of Polish origin called in Spain Stanisław Polak. Recently it has been confirmed that the Publishing House 'Bernardinum" will exhibit a special piece - a fscimile of Gutenberg's Biblie of Pelplin.

The displayed academic Polish publications will be passed to the Spanish host and they will enrich the collection of Biblioteca Historica and the Faculty of Slavonic Philologies.

Last year on 23-30 November  the University Publishers Association organized the 15th Exhibition, "Polish Scientific Book", in Vienna.
