Youth Meeting in Rome

Dear Friends,

We would like to invite you to Rome to a meeting of professionally and socially active young people, those who are not afraid to discuss the challenges and problems of modern life and who would like to find solutions in the spirit of Pope John Paul II’s call to ‘build a civilisation of love’. We welcome young people between the ages of 25- 35 to participate in the meeting and in particular the peers of the pontificate of Pope John Paul II, those who are celebrating their 30th birthday this year.

In our careers we are constantly making decisions which create an image of the world that influences people’s lives. The fast pace of our everyday existence and the focus on our careers cause us at times to forget about the things that are most important, making us lose sight of our ethical principles. We often doubt our faith and fall into moral relativism. In these situations we are believers in name only, as they do not influence our choices or life decisions.

No one is a lonely island and no one has a patent for wisdom. The ‘Youth Meeting in Rome’ is a chance to meet people who think and feel similarly – those that ‘fill the earth and subdue it’ and who want to do this in connection with God. The lectures during the plenary session and the discussions in the workshops will help us assess whether our actions and decisions which we make in our lives are correct. They will also allow us to share our personal thoughts and to enrich ourselves with the experiences of the other participants, creating a sense of community and strength.

Being aware of our responsibilities towards ourselves, our families and our society, we should deeply prepare to undertake the challenges facing us. The ‘Youth Meeting in Rome’ is the perfect opportunity to do just that.

We kindly invite you,

How to find us?

Patron quotation

Our duty is to understand everything what we are able to understand. Afterwards only faith is left - I believe, God, because you said.  /Mamy obowiązek zrozumieć wszystko, co da się zrozumieć. Dalej pozostanie już tylko wiara – wierzę Boże, ponieważ powiedziałeś/

In death there is Love  /W śmierci jest Miłość/

Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński
