Very Reverend Professor dr.hab.  Ryszard RUMIANEK, Rector

Born in 1947 he is a priest of the Archdiocese of Warsaw. In 1990 he was employed by  the Academy of Catholic Theology. He is a nominated academic employee.  In 1974 - 1979 he studied at the Biblical Papal Institute in Rome (bachelor degree in bibblical sciences)  and at the Gregorian University  (doctorate in theology). In 1979-1982 he was an alumnus prefect at the Metropolitan Seminary in Warsaw, and for the next twelve years a pro-rector of that Seminary gaining experience of administrative work at higher education school. For eight years he has been a member of the Episcopal Council of the Archdiocese of Warsaw and a plenipotentiary of the diocesan property  - hence his experience in financial-economic matters. In the 90s he was a member of the Primate Commission for examining the project of creating the second university in Warsaw and later employed by this university - the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University - at the Faculty of Theology. In 2002 - 2005 he was pro-rector of the CSWU for general matters and scientific research. Since 2005 he has been  rector of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw.
